We are very pleased that our team has gained some new smart heads during the last three months. Besides our new trainees Ilker, Silas, Jonas, Tom and Erik we could also welcome Maurice, Ahmet, Sven, Anita and Nikica. They support us in the development, in the field service, in the sales team and in the network technology team. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome all ten of them to our m3 family!
From October 26-28, this year’s edition of the Stakeholder Conference will take place in Dubai. As a sponsor, we are very pleased to be a part of this event. The event brings together entrepreneurs with upcoming projects with the industry’s leading service providers and equipment suppliers, making it one of the most important events in the hospitality sector in the Middle East. In addition to exciting presentations from the industry, the Stakeholder Conference offers plenty of time and space for networking. Our hospitality experts Fabienne Rahier, Emilio Dragas, Roland Heinen and Jeroen Wisse are looking forward to many interesting conversations and new contacts.
We are very pleased to be present at a trade fair in the care sector for the first time on site this month. At the Altenheim Expo on October 25th and 26th at the Estrel in Berlin, we will present our solutions in the healthcare sector live on site. Our two experts Rosaria Weiland and Ralf Ander will be available at our booth to answer your questions about digitalization in the care sector. We are excited about the exchange and look forward to meeting many new faces.
When our customers need assistance, our support is always on hand. To reduce our environmental footprint in the process, our experts now drive electrically. We are delighted that the demand for our electric pool vehicles is so high. Bit by bit, we are in the process of replacing our current pool vehicles with electrically powered vehicles. The first step in this direction has been successfully mastered and our charging stations in the company parking lot are also always well attended.
The flood disaster in July also hit parts of our region hard. In the meantime, basic supplies have been restored and there is a better overview of the damage and the help that is now needed. The elementary school in Zweifall is one of the public facilities that have been severely damaged by the water. Among other things, the school’s IT equipment needs to be replaced. As a local technology company in the region, we have now decided to support the school’s support association in this. Therefore we donate iPads, notebooks and accessories like protective cases and charging cases for the iPads in the amount of about 25.000€.
The starting signal has just been given for this year’s presence event and special edition of the German Hotel Congress with the slogan “Courage is good!” in Berlin. Throughout the day, visitors have the opportunity to discuss current topics in the hotel industry with the industry’s thought leaders. In addition to that the latest developments and features will be presented at the Hotel InterContinental in Berlin.
We will also be there with our booth to present our digital solutions and help shape the new era in the hotel industry. Therefore, we will present our Future Network concept, which we designed for B&B HOTELS, at our booth. We presented this revolutionary concept for the first time in February at the digital edition of this year’s German Hotel Congress together with Niklas Unger, CIO Central & Northern Europe of B&B HOTELS.
We are looking forward to answering questions about this concept and to having an interesting exchange about our solutions together with the visitors.
On 01.09.2021 the new training year has started and we are happy to welcome six new trainees in our teams. This means that we now have a total of 12 trainees in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of training. For the first time, we have decided to train IT specialists for digital networking in addition to the long-established IT specialist training for system integration. This year, we are again offering MATSE training and training for IT systems management. As a recognized training company, we invest a lot of time and energy every year in training our junior staff. For us it is definitely worth it: Our trainees are integrated into the operational processes from day 1 and thus very quickly become professionals in their field and a valuable support for us. In the last 5 years, 18 trainees have successfully completed their training with us. The majority of our trainees are still part of the team years after their training. Last year, for example, we were able to celebrate the 10th anniversary of two former trainees. Last Friday, we invited our young talents to our showroom before they had even started their training. There our new trainees got to meet our C-level, our 4 trainers as well as our other trainees from the 2nd and 3rd year. Over delicious barbecue skewers and salads, they learned more about our company, before concluding with a tour of our building and the various departments. The start of training is much easier when you already know some of your colleagues.
There is good news for all operators of care facilities: The application for funding to expand digitalization in facilities has been extended until the end of 2023. That’s according to the Digital Modernization of Care and Nursing Act (DVGMP). Funding is available for up to 40% of expenditures to expand digital infrastructure and related training. The maximum amount of funding is a grant of €12,000. This can also be distributed over several measures. For more information on the subsidy and how it can be used, see our case study with Korian Deutschland AG. If you are interested or have any questions about this topic, please feel free to send us an email.
It was time again for a virtual event with our staff: This time we wanted to bring some action to the homes: In several quiz rounds, we played in five teams for victory. Included were multiple choice challenges, number and picture puzzles and the wheel of fortune. The whole thing was accompanied by a professional quiz master. Everyone had a lot to think about, but even more to laugh about. Well-deserved, “The New Ones” won the quiz and brought home the prize. Congratulations to Kai, Ina, Sascha and Nils! And thanks to all employees for this fun evening!
