Privacy policy

m3connect GmbH privacy statement

m3connect takes the protection of personal data very seriously. We want you to know what information we collect, how we use it, and what influence you have on its use. As a company governed by private law, we are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation of the EU (GDPR) (German Datenschutzgrundverordnung (DSGVO)) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).
The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. If personal data is collected on our website (such as name, address or e-mail addresses), this is, as far as possible, always on a voluntary basis. This data will not be given to third parties without your explicit agreement. Please note that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

The personal information we collect

We save your IP and MAC address for operation of your Internet connection, in order to facilitate reconnection, and occasionally for error diagnosis. If you have entered personal information while registering, we will save it for the duration of the contract. Incomplete or incorrect registration data will be accepted to enable anonymous use. However, in that case we cannot issue you an invoice.

If you want to purchase services via our pages, we save the time, location, product, and your registration information in order to proceed with payment. The data you enter while paying is only viewed by the respective payment service provider. We have no way to access it.

At selected locations we are commissioned to operate local telephone systems. In this process we collect the usual telephony metadata: the person being talked to, the time, and the duration of the call. In order for this to be invoiced, we report the metadata to our client, while the external number is made anonymous.

On our website you will find a contact form in which you can enter your title, first name, surname, e-mail address and company as well as your message. We only use this information for a reply.

We want to know how well you are getting along with our websites. That is why we use Matomo (formerly Piwik). This is a so-called web analytics service. Matomo uses “cookies”, which are text files that are stored on your computer and allow us to analyse the use of the website. For this purpose, the usage information generated by the cookie (including your truncated IP address) is transmitted to our server and saved for usage analysis, which enables us to optimise the website. At the start of this process your IP address is anonymised, so that you as a user will remain anonymous for the Matomo analysis. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will not be disclosed to third parties. You can refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, it may be the case that if you do so, you may not be able to utilise the full functionality of this website.

If you do not agree with the storage and analysis of this data from your visit, you can object to the storage and use below with a mouse click at any time. In that case a so-called opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser, with the result that Matomo will not store any session data. Note: If you delete your cookies, this will mean that the opt-out cookie is also deleted and may need to be re-activated by you.

You can then decide here whether an explicit web analytics cookie may be stored on your browser to allow the provider of the website to collect and analyse various statistical data.
If you choose not to, click the following link to set the Matomo opt-out cookie in your browser.

If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Data security and data protection, communication by e-mail

Your personal data are protected by technical and organisational measures during the collection, storage and processing in such a way that they are not accessible to third parties. In the case of unencrypted communication by e-mail, we cannot guarantee complete data security during the transmission to our IT systems. For information requiring a high level of confidentiality, we recommend encrypted communication or postal delivery.
