As last year’s forum was a great success, we are looking forward to participating in the 13th Hotel Technology Forum (IHFT) 2016 from 20th to 22nd April in Düsseldorf.

This three-day programme brings together hospitality experts to talk about the most recent marketing, technology and sales trends. We are looking forward to a lively exchange of views and fascinating discussions on exciting topics, including exploring future disruptive technologies, the future of data analysis in hospitality or next generation payment systems. We invite you to visit us at our stand (stand number 44).

Partnering with Vodafone, m3connect operates the WiFi installations on all boats of the Bavarian Lakes Waterway as an offer for the passengers and the ship’s crew. Now you can surf the internet or immediately send souvenir photos and selfies all over the world while on board. The ships are equipped with LTE routers, that connect to Vodafone LTE transmission towers on land. Internet access is free on board.

The project “WiFi on Bavarian Lakes” is part of the digitization plans in Bavaria: “Broadband Expansion, BayernPortal, BayerLabs and The Initiativ Free WiFi in Bavaria are the pillars of digitization in rural areas” said Markus Söder, Minister of Finance, Freistaat Bayern.

We are delighted to be able to contribute to this project.

Manager Magazin, and most recently Der Spiegel www.spiegel.de, published the details of a survey by online reputation management provider Reputami. Unfortunately, the study “Internet in German Hotels — The Status Quo” confirmed that Germany was in last place in Europe when it comes to customer satisfaction with Internet issues. More than 4 million online ratings of about 13,000 hotels were evaluated. Complaints mainly involved the lack of WiFi and the slow speed. But even in this study, an Accor hotel came out best. Winning in the German comparison is Ibis Syles Munich East, a hotel run by our partner BHKV Hospitality, a franchisee of Accor Hotellerie Deutschland.

You can download Reputami’s full study here.

A current press release from our partner Accor Hotellerie Deutschland is available at www.finanznachrichten.de.
For a few weeks, we have been enhancing the hotels of our new customer Leonardo. We look forward to upcoming tests, which will put Leonardo hotels in top spots, too.

Our partners Accor Hotellerie Deutschland and BHKV Hospitality (an Accor franchisee) make an impressive showing in independent tests of customer satisfaction. Congratulations to our business partners and their hotels on their outstanding test results. Their decision to go with fiber optic connections was absolutely right.

Quote: “Eight Accor hotels placed in the top 10 — no wonder, because Germany’s largest hotel chain has equipped all its locations with ultramodern fiber optic networks. This brings enormous advantages for WiFi access.”

It was nine, to be exact, because Adaggio is also an Accor brand.

The hotel Wi-Fi test took place during the ITB in Berlin on March 4–8, 2015, You can find the complete results here: www.hotelwifitest.com/events/itb-berlin2015/
At the same time, of course, we are also very proud of the results for the Accor hotels, all of which we serve. We installed the networks and, under contract with Accor, operate all Internet-related areas of the hotels.

We are happy to welcome Karlsruher Messe- und Kongreß GmbH as a new customer.
